The "One" Real Estate Agent
For more than 20 years we have lived in and served in the military in Southern California. My wife and I found each other almost 7 years ago and blended our families. In 2023, our children are now off to start their young adult lives in college. My wife is a proud mom of a daughter, and I am proud of all four of my children. My wife was afforded a phenomenal opportunity to join a unique organization in the Tampa, Florida area. With the kids graduating and moving along with this opportunity, we made the decision to start over in Florida with no children living full-time with us. As this all was happening, we were introduced to Ms. Andrea through a mutual friend.
Our initial phone call was welcoming and insightful. Andrea asked about our plans, timing and likes and dislikes. She asked about things we must have for a new home and things we could negotiate on. Immediately she was ready to jump in and begin the journey to find us a place to call home. We looked for many months, and my wife had many questions and ideas. We were not really in a hurry and Andrea knew we were browsing in the beginning. Andrea had a vision and a plan from our continuous conversations and sharing of homes, she quickly honed in on what we were looking for. Her distinct knowledge of the areas we were interested in and the communities we were looking for she kept right on target for us. Not once did we ever have to hesitate on some of the properties that she shared with us. She was steadfast with the vision and her expertise was on point through every idea. When we decided to put a bid on property, she went to the property, spoke with the selling agents, and came back to us with some potential concerns. She was tactful but honest with us, explaining that this property we thought could be the one was not going to pass inspection. Her accuracy was once again perfect, in fact that property is still on the market today. We kept looking and looking, the pressure began to take its toll on my wife and I, but not Andrea. Laser focused and determined to help us find the perfect place. One morning, she had sent us a few properties to look at, and one caught my wife's eye. I looked through the photos in complete amazement, this property was absolutely perfect and had only been on the market for a couple of days. My wife and I discussed the price point and inquired with Andrea. She offered to go take a look for us and conduct a virtual walk-through with us on the phone. You could see Andrea's face on the phone, complete business, but there was a glimmer of, this is it. We asked our friends to go over and take a look with Andrea, and my buddy after looking at the property told me, look if you do not bid on this house, I am going to. With that, we put the bid in. The next day Andrea called us to say that we had been outbid. We were crushed. The impact of the kids graduating, my wife in a new role, and adding the fact that we thought we found the right home for us had hit a new level and we were devastated. Two days later, the accepted bid was withdrawn, and the property was back on the market. Andrea called us immediately to give us the news. We immediately put in the new bid, and were back to waiting, anxiously. It felt like months of waiting, but in actuality it was merely a couple of days. Andrea kept us informed and calm. The news came in that our bid was accepted by the seller, and we were in business. Excitedly we started lining everything up, and Andrea got things rolling. We were in Escrow and the inspection was coming up while my wife was going to be in town. The inspection took place and more bad news. The house was essentially brand new, but the roof had to be replaced before escrow would be able to close. Our emotions were falling again with an estimate of $20K for a new roof. Andrea never missed a beat and contacted the selling agent, and within minutes she called us back. The seller would have the roof replaced immediately. O
